Archer provides two routes to obtaining ‘live’ diagnostic imagery downhole: a ground-breaking ultrasound 3D imaging tool, which gives visual images of the conditions both inside and outside the wellbore, and a broad range of downhole cameras.
Our SPACE™ imaging platform represents a real breakthrough in wellbore spatial imaging technology. Unlike cameras or conventional ultrasound technology, the SPACE™ system uses advanced ultrasound scanning techniques to produce high-resolution 3D images and measurements of well components beyond visual and physical barriers. It has no moving parts, and it can operate in all production fluids. Using high-definition ultrasound, the tool can provide real-time imagery at surface of conditions inside and outside the wellbore.
This information is allowing operators to manage wells more effectively, improve well performance and extend well life.
In addition to ultrasound tools, our range of well cameras provides real-time imagery and use optics especially adapted for use in downhole conditions. A patented oil repellent surfactant keeps the lens clean and a patented light source ensures robust imaging in non-opaque fluids.
