Through our drilling and completion fluids service, we provide our customers with the tools necessary to minimize wellbore damage, operational costs and health, safety and environmental (HSE) impact, while at the same time enhancing well productivity. Our in-house development laboratories leverage innovative technology and a wealth of operational experience to ensure that our water-based and oil-based drilling fluids meet the demands of the most challenging formations in both conventional and nonconventional applications, providing customers the most advanced fluids available.
Solids Control Systems: Removing detrimental drilled solids from the mud system is one of the most important phases of the well delivery process. Failure to properly control solids can increase the mud density above its desired weight, contributing to detrimental effects on many areas of the drilling process. We provide a range of solids control systems, including accelerated g-force mud cleaners, centrifuges and process tanks that allow the viscosity and density of drilling mud to be precisely maintained; increasing the drilling penetration rate; extending the life of drill bits and pump parts and reducing overall operational costs.
Drilling Waste Management: In addition to solids control for active fluids systems that deliver high mud quality and minimal losses while extending the working lifespan of drilling fluids, DLS Fluids also provides dry location systems. This means that our customers experience less waste, smaller location sizes and minimize the environmental impact of their drilling and well servicing activities.
Our dry location systems provide a wide range of solids control on applications such as: water-based drilling fluids dewatering, oil-based drilling fluids conditioning, air/foam drilling, eliminating wellsite sludge and the construction of pits/ponds that require subsequent remediation, enabling our customers to reduce their environmental footprint.
